Discovery Green, in conjunction with the 2011 DockDogs event, presents the  Haute Dogs at DockDogs Costume Contest, Saturday, July 2,  4-6pm, at the Anheuser-Busch Stage & Fondren Performance Space.

Contest is open to everyone and their dogs. Entry is free and prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category.

Categories include:
Hautest Dog: Is your dog hotter than Houston in July? This category is for the canines that have it all. They are not only the best dressed, they are also cute, adorable & steal the show!

“Greenest” Dog: Be creative, be “green”. Costumes must be made from recycled or re-used materials (reusing a store bought costume is not permitted). Dogs will be judged on creativity & sustainability.

Best Duo (dog/owner costume combo): Double your pleasure, double your fun. Pairs will be judged on their costumes and on how well they work together.

Dog Gone Talented: Show off your dog’s talent – at anything. It doesn’t have to be outrageous, just entertaining. Costume is required. Dogs will be judged on their costume and star quality.

PRIZES: 1st Place: One pair of tickets to either an Astros or Dynamo game, gift card to the Lake House Café & other goodies for the parent & the pooch. 2nd & 3rd place prizes TBA
