It's A Night of Songbirds at McGonigel's Mucky Duck featuring Leslie Krafka, Libby Koch, and Connie Mims.

LESLIE KRAFKA  - After being named Songwriter of the Year in 2010 by the Houston Songwriters Association, along with her song “Wandering Troubadour” being named their Song of the Year, Leslie went on to garner even more recognition from the Austin Songwriters Group, all the while ramping up her appearances in clubs, concerts and festivals. In March of 2011 Leslie released her debut CD, Leslie Krafka: The White Cat Sessions, produced by Jack Saunders. According to the Houston Chronicle, Krafka’s CD was “well worth the wait”. She has accelerated her popularity in the Texas Folk circles recently by being a finalist in this year’s Halletsville Songwriters Serenade and Kerrville Folk Festival. She is definitely “one to watch”.

LIBBY KOCH - Texas Americana artist, Libby Koch is nominated for 2011’s Best Female Vocalist from the Academy of Texas Music. Her latest CD, The Shadow of this Town, demonstrates her songwriting and vocal talents, with a general feeling of making each new listener a die-hard fan. Her goal is to make real, honest music that resonates with people, and as Matthew Warnock of Guitar International Magazine recently said, "it is artists like Koch that are restoring faith in country music to its fans."

CONNIE MIMS - Connie Mims began her career in the ‘70’s in Texas, appearing everywhere from the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin to The Troubadour in Los Angeles. She and her band, WHEATFIELD appeared in the first season of the PBS TV series "Austin City Limits". Since the ‘80’s, Connie has enjoyed a solo career as a performing songwriter and studio vocalist, appearing in numerous radio ads and in the classic Blue Bell Ice Cream TV commercial, "Texas Musicians". She facilitates songwriting workshops for The Recording Academy, Nashville Songwriters Association and the Kerrville Folk Festival. In 2009, she was awarded “Singer/Songwriter of the Year” from the Academy of Texas Music. Connie is currently splitting her time between Texas and Nashville, recording, performing and writing for a variety of projects.
