Hope Stone Dance Company presents Lemonade Stand 2011, Hope Stone Dance company presents the first show of their second season! Come get a sweet taste of some ole’ time favorites from our baker’s dozen years of dancing and enjoy a sweet, tart, tangy weekend of dance!  This fun, tongue-in-cheek, three-day whirlwind of dance is set for August 11 - 13 at the Barnevelder Movement Arts Complex.

Borrowing from the old and bringing in the new, the evening will be a tart and sweet evening of Hope Stone dance and performance. Weiner takes another look at her dozen plus years of work and extracts some fun, zany works from her evening length pieces The Cooking Show, 's-a tale of possession and earlier works. Also scheduled to premiere is a new trio with Houston Ballet dancer's Melody Mennite, Kelly Myernick and Connor Walsh. Hope Stone is thrilled to partner with Denise Hazen of Cheeky Vintage as the fashion consultant. The evening centers around a self-proclaimed talk show - "Jane Knows Stuff" - with the dancers and dances taking form as the talk show ramps up, heats up and carries on.

Lemonade Stand is part of the inaugural Houston Dance Festival, a five-week summer series of performances and master classes that includes Houston dance companies Infinite Movement Ever Evolving (iMEE), performing August 18-20, and NobleMotion Dance, performing August 26-27 and September 2-3. Master classes with all three companies will be held August 5-7 at Houston Ballet's new Dance Center in downtown Houston.
