Notions of Right and Wrong is the story of a human outnumbered by ideas. Some, like Justice, try to lay claim to her, while others just want to help her slog through puberty. But when these concepts begin to have notions of their own, ghosts are unleashed, loyalties change, and all bets are off. In this rich, darkly funny world of a woman's life, "Right and wrong depends on who holds the cards."

Elizabeth A. M. Keel is a local Houston playwright, and a recent summa cum laude graduate of the University of Houston's theatre department. She acts and directs around town, and is a guest Teaching Artist for the acclaimed Alley Theatre. Her written work has been produced by the Nova Arts Project, Bootown's Houston Fringe Festival, the Scriptwriters/Houston, and UH, who most recently commissioned a play about the history of comedy from her to tour local high schools. Also, her first novel, Running Into Trouble, was released this spring on Amazon.com.

Notions of Right and Wrong began in a playwriting classroom at UH, under the tutelage of the esteemed dramaturg, Mr. Mark Bly. Keel was then accepted into the highly selective Edward Albee workshop, and brought the play in with her. Albee was refreshing and up front, jabbing sharp sticks at gray areas and demanding deliberate solutions. The current incarnation is much stronger for it, and that is what is going into workshop/production with the very capable Zachary Doss (Director for the project, who was in Mr. Bly's class for the play's conception) and the inimitable Mildred's Umbrella team.
