Jung Center of Houston presents Certainty vs. Doubt: A Lecture on the Ethics of Integrity, Thursday, July 14, 7-9p. Explore the necessary role of doubt in ethical decision making with analyst  Karen Magee. This lecture, which builds on material previously presented in workshops for mental health professionals, is open to the general public.

What role does integrity play in ethical decision making? When we are ready to engage the ethical questions and concerns encountered in our personal and/or professional lives, is the choice we make accompanied by certainty, or by doubt? As we become more conscious of the meaning and place ethics has in our lives, on what does our responsibility to act ethically, and with integrity, finally rest?

The evening will include lecture and work with film clips, and will include the insights of Carl Jung, Erich Neumann, and more contemporary Jungian writers. It will offer an opportunity to further understand ethics from a Jungian perspective, as we explore the inner and outer influences that fuel the certainties and doubts we experience as we strive to live lives of integrity. This lecture is open to everyone.

Karen Magee, MA, LMFT, LPC, is a graduate of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts (IRSJA), a faculty member for the Jungian Studies Program at Saybrook University, and a senior training analyst for the Texas Seminar of the IRSJA. She has been an instructor at The Jung Center for more than 20 years and is known for her work with ethics and the use of film as a means for psychological exploration. A member of The Jung Center's Board of Trustees, Karen is in private practice.
