Relax and enjoy an evening with Houston Playback Theatre as the true stories of audience members come to life through this unique form of improvisational theatre. A story, a thought, or even just a feeling shared ignites an evening filled with real life drama performed on the spot by the Playback actors. Throughout the performance actor and audience alike are reminded of the many connections we all share but often forget. Playback Theatre makes storytellers of us all, and it gives us the rare opportunity to be spectators of our own lives.

Houston Playback Theatre, inspired by the pioneering work of Jonathan Fox and Jo Salas, has staged performances at The Jung Center and throughout the Houston community. The company has brought Playback Theatre to a wide variety of Houston audiences including Family day at the MFAH, and the CAMH. HPT is part of a global network of Playback companies that continue to work with public and private organizations where sharing personal stories has had profound, transformative effects.
