    Bit of a Stretch presents their inaugural production, Floyd Collins, July 29, 30 and August 5, 6 at  Frenetic Theater.

    Floyd Collins is based on the true story of a Kentucky caver who became trapped while exploring Sand Cave, and his ordeal from January 30 to February 16, 1925. It follows Floyd, below ground, as he comes to terms with his fate, and his family, above ground, as they struggle with the media circus that flocks to cover the story.

    With music by Tony Award-winning composer Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza) and book by Tina Landau, Floyd Collins is an honest, emotional tale about the love of a family, the strength of friendship, and the desperate circumstances that often define us most.
