Slim Thug (pictured) is a rapper from Houston, Texas. He began his career with Swishahouse in the late 90s. After realizing how much money he could make distributing his own mixtapes, he parted ways with Swishahouse on good terms and formed his own independent label, Boss Hogg Outlawz (named after the Dukes of Hazzard character). Slim says that his rap name comes from the fact that as a teenager, he was very tall and lanky before he filled out. He stands 6'6" tall. The Thug part comes from people's assumptions of him due to his braids and sunglasses.

Joseph Wayne McVey, better known by his stage name Z-RO, is an American rapper, singer, and producer. He has built a reputation as a southern rapper. Z-RO has sold about 1,000,000 albums in the U.S. Despite most of his popularity belonging to the south, he has been named as one of America's most underrated rappers by the New York Times and is considered by some to be among the best lyricists in hip hop today. Common themes in Z-RO's music are crime and poverty, often relating to his personal experience. Since he started rapping mainstream, Z-RO has made a name for himself as one of the most lyrically talented and influential artists ever to come out of the Houston, Texas rap scene. Z-RO is a member of the original "Screwed Up Click", a large group of rappers from the south side of Houston that joined with DJ Screw on his mission to make it big.

Afroman is a rapartist from South-Central Los Angeles, California, but later moved to eastern Palmdale (which he has referred to in his songs). His best-known song is the 2001 hit "Because I Got High", which gained popularity through Napster, local radio play, a feature on Howard Stern's radio show, and the "stoner" movie 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back' (and accompanying soundtrack). Afroman is also fond of referencing his independence from record labels and the "corporate world" and cites himself as an example of how an artist can take recording and distribution into their own hands.
