Dosey Doe Coffee House presents John Slaughter & Brian Bursey.

John Slaughter: (pictured) John Slaughter was born in 1981 in Houston Texas. Being raised around a family where country music was being played in nearly every room in the house, it was only fitting that John developed a love for the music.  For the last 4 years John has been playing and writing with Roger Creager as part of Roger’s Band. Playing violin, mandolin, and guitar and having co-written #1hits like Roger’s I Love Being Lonesome & Cody Johnson’ Pray For Rain this Houston boy has decided its time to step out on his own. Keep a look out for this talented artist as a driving force in the country music scene for 2011!

Brian Bursey draws from country, indie, pop, even gospel; influences of Steve Earle, Todd Snider, Old Crow Medicine Show, Pete Yorn, and Cross Canadian Ragweed. He is one of this State’s serious up & comers.
