    Take a bite out of Shark Weekend at the Downtown Aquarium.  Celebrate Shark Week July 30th and 31st.

    Do you have shark fever? The only cure is Downtown Aquarium’s Shark Weekend! A weekend filled with fin-tastic fun and activities in conjunction with the Discovery Channel’s Shark Week and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Come visit us July 30 and 31 for dive shows, animal feedings and demonstrations and fascinating shark facts.

    Activity Schedule: (Same times for Saturday and Sunday):

    Aquarium Exhibit
    Throughout the Day - Tiger Shift/ Q& A with Staff

    Aquarium Exhibit
    10:30 AM: Dive-Com Show - Talk to one of our shark divers while they  are underwater.

    Reel to Real (Aquarium Adventure Exhibit)
    11 AM: Animal Interaction - Come enjoy this interactive show!

    Sharkey’s Lagoon
    1 PM, 3 PM: Animal Show - Come enjoy this interactive show!

    Aquarium Exhibit
    1:30 PM: Q&A with Shark Divers - Meet a member of our biology staff who dive with our sharks

    Aquarium Exhibit
     2 PM, 2:30 PM: Animal Feeding/ Q&A with staff - Watch as the fish are fed by the Biology staff.

    ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES:

    • Visit our Education/Conservation Booth to make your own Shark Tooth Necklace!
    • Try to win FREE PRIZES by answering questions in our Sharkey Quiz!
    • Don’t forget to get your FREE Shark coloring picture at our Education/Conservation Booth!
    • All guests with a wristband can visit our Education/Conservation Booth for a FREE Downtown Aquarium Trading Card featuring a Sand Tiger Shark!

    Tickets:

    There is no charge for Shark Weekend; however activities inside of the Aquarium Adventure Exhibit require an exhibit ticket ($9.25 for adults or $6.25 for children). The purchase of an All-Day Adventure Pass allows guests to access the exhibit all day and enjoy unlimited rides on the Shark Voyage train, Diving Bell Ferris Wheel, Lighthouse Dive and Aquatic Carousel.
