Houston Rescue & Restore Coalition (HRRC) and Rothko Chapel present Faith and Freedom: Houston Human Trafficking Awareness Month Interfaith Prayer Service, Sunday, September 18 at Rothko Chapel.

As part of Houston Rescue and Restore Coalition’s 5th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Month HRRC and Rothko Chapel host the annual Faith and Freedom Weekend: September 15th – 18th, 2011. Faith and Freedom Weekend is an interfaith initiative uniting synagogues, mosques, churches, temples and all centers of faith to stand for freedom by dialoguing and acting to raise awareness of the injustice and inhumanity of human trafficking.

With millions living in slavery around the world, communities of faith can play a key role in liberating these individuals by uniting for freedom. The Interfaith Service will be a chance for individuals from a variety of faith traditions to gather in one space to discuss how to respond to slavery and allow this issue to unite us.

HRRC will be hosting three events during the weekend which are all open to the public. Visit the website for more information.
