Who took the cool out of classical music? Well, WindSync is here to put it back in. A fresh, young and energetic ensemble, WindSync’s Peter and the Wolf program is dramatic and interactive, allowing students of all ages to explore and engage with music while at the same learning crucial listening skills and analytical, out-of-the-box thinking. WindSync invites students in the audience to join the collaborative, creative process of musical imagination and expression by exploring elements of rhythm, culture, the character of the instruments, and the hip, story-telling nature of classical music (in a staged and costumed production of Peter and the Wolf).

WindSync is committed to reaching new audiences and exploring new venues for classical music. The groups’ concert programs – combining old and new repertoire – are dramatic and interactive, allowing listeners an opportunity to more actively explore the music. With a particular emphasis on performing and commissioning contemporary works, WindSync uses this focus as a vehicle to expand the woodwind quintet repertoire, unveiling a musical art form that engenders public engagement.
