The Escatones (Houston, TX) - "An intriguing band of (relative, anyway) youngsters, The Escatones‘ sound belies their age somewhat; listening to the woozy jangle and whoa-oh-oh choruses, I can’t help but think of ’60s psych-garage bands or revivalists like the fuzzy-edged Dutchess & the Duke. They’re surfy and raggedy when necessary, bright and Beatlesque when that’s called for, and yes, they apparently wear muu-muus (or something like ‘em) when they play. You can download three songs’ worth of smiling, jangly, loopy, surfiness on over here, in the form of free EP Owls in The Headlights of the Sulfur Digging Bulldozer. It’s fun, bright-sounding, nonchalantly goofy stuff, and I’m liking it." -Jeremy Hart, Spacecityrock.com

The Nouns - A bunch of stuff happened and then we started playing music together and then we switched genres a million times and then we watched The Who: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 upon finding it in a closet and that inspired us to play rock n roll and then we got into blues and other stuff too (yet still kept some of the more angry aspects of our past bands in our sound) and then we decided to call ou...rselves The Nouns and played around austin some and then we lived in L.A for a while and then we came back to austin and then we met Chris at a party and he joined the band and we recorded a lofi demo called "warehouse sessions" at texas coffee traders with a portable recorder and then we started playing shows more frequently around austin and then we recorded an E.P entitled "Party with The Nouns!" set for release in the not too distant future.
