Tuesday, September 13 at 5:00pm, Blue Willow Bookshop presents Eric Litwin and James Dean. Eric Litwin and James Dean will discuss and sign their new picture book, Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes.

Pete the Cat is back—and this time he’s rocking in his school shoes. Pete discovers the library, the lunchroom, the playground, and lots of other cool places at school. And no matter where he goes, Pete never stops moving and grooving and singing his song . . . because it’s all good.

Learn more about Pete the Cat at www.petethecat.com.

Author Eric Litwin (aka Mr. Eric) is the New York Times bestselling author of Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes. He is a guitar-strumming, song-singing, story-telling, banjo-picking, harmonica-blowing, fun and folksy type of guy. He is a popular performer who has recorded several award-winning children’s music CDs. Eric is also the cofounder of the Learning Groove™, a dynamic early-learning music company. Eric is a former classroom teacher, and this story is inspired by all the students who, like Pete the Cat, say “yes” to learning and facing new challenges.

Illustrator James Dean has lived a life made up of strange and wonderful coincidences ever since he quit his job as an electrical engineer. He knew he had found something special when he painted the first painting of Pete, a black kitten he discovered in a cage at the animal shelter. More odd coincidences led him to Eric Litwin and HarperCollins. The success of their first New York Times bestselling book about Pete the Cat and his white shoes has been a magical dream. James lives with his wife, Kim, also an artist, and five cats (Bob, Frida, Yoko, Audrey, and Marilyn).
