The Texas Freethought Convention takes place Friday-Sunday, October 7-9 at the Hyatt Regency Houston. Join us for three days of exciting activities, from inspiring and informative lectures, live music, comedians, seminars, panels, workshops, and dancing to social events including networking, community and conversation with other like-minded freethinkers.

Keynote Speaker Richard Dawkins (pictured) highlights three days of fellowship, information and celebration for freethinkers, agnostics, skeptics, humanists and atheists from Texas and around the world. A family-friendly event, the convention will have available childrens' activities and licensed day care so parents can enjoy the lectures, vendor fair, music, panel discussions and comedy night.

Other national and international speakers on the roster include Dr. Michael Shermer, Executive Director of the Skeptics Society; Biology Professor “PZ” Myers, Eugenie Scott, Director of the National Center for Science Education; Victor Stenger, an American particle physicist and author of several books including 'The Fallacy of Fine Tuning' and 'The New Atheism: Taking a Stand for Science and Reason'; and Sean Faircloth, Executive Director of the Secular Coalition for America. In addition, Secular Student Alliance will conduct leadership workshops to help fill the growing demand for new chapters at high schools, colleges and universities across the country.

This event is held in conjunction with the Atheist Alliance of America and will draw attendees from the U.S. and from several foreign countries. Don't miss out!
