The Grand 1894 Opera House is "Making History" with the 2011-2012 season opening performance of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Saturday, September 17 at 8pm. Sponsored in part by HomeTown Bank, The Hilton Resort, Holiday Inn Resort, Landry’s Restaurants, Inc. and The San Luis Resort, Spa and Conference Center, this one incredible performance will be "Oh, What A Night!" as one of Rock and Roll’s most enduring stars takes to The Grand’s stage.

Frankie Valli, together with The Four Seasons, rocketed to stardom following his iconic American Bandstand performance of "Sherry." With Valli's dazzling falsetto as its trademark, The Four Season's sound became one of the most popular in all of rock and roll. Their legendary career continued with such unforgettable original classics as "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Walk Like a Man," "Candy Girl," “Dawn," "Working My Way Back To You," and "Rag Doll".

In 1966, Valli's solo record scored a Top 40 hit with "You're Gonna Hurt Yourself." That same year, The Four Seasons reached the #3 spot on the pop charts with "Let's Hang On." The year 1967 saw Valli's "Can't Take My Eyes off of You" rise to #2, while "I Make A Fool of Myself" and "To Give (the Reason I Live)" both became Top 40 hits. In 1974, Valli went Platinum with the bittersweet ballad "My Eyes Adored You"; "Swearin' to God" - with its disco beat and contemporary sensibilities- went gold and climbed to #6 top hit in 1975. In 1976, "Our Day Will Come" reached #11 on the charts and just two years later, "December, '63 (Oh, What a Night)" climbed to #1 stayed at the top for 3 weeks. Valli also went on to score another megahit with the title track of the best-selling "Grease" soundtrack.

His incredible career as a solo artist and with The Four Seasons has produced 19 Top Ten hits and sold over 100 million records worldwide. The Tony Award-winning musical, Jersey Boys (entering its third sold-out year on Broadway) chronicles the life and times of Valli and his legendary group. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and named "longevity champ of the rock era" by Billboard Magazine. Frankie Valli has continued to woo audiences throughout the world both with his recordings and live performances for almost four decades, making him a true American pop music icon.

Celebrate the good times with their unforgettable hits. This is sure to be an evening that’s “Just Too Good To Be True”!
