HCC Chamber Music Series will kick off its new season Friday, October 7 with a concert entitled American Inspirations, meant to celebrate the diverse sources of influence that inspired the works of several contemporary American composers.

The program will feature John Corigliano's Gazebo Dances performed by Duo pianists Ilgin Aka and Sherry Cheng, Nicolas Flagello's impassioned work Credendum performed by violinist Quan Jiang, and Michael Colgrass's Variations for Viola and Four Drums performed by Houston Symphony violist Wei Jiang and percussionist Gardner Kondo-Cook.
