This Fall enjoy the great outdoors again with live gospel music as the sound track at Gospel on the Green! The best local ensembles will take to the stage at Discovery Green and make a joyful noise at this exciting new series located on the park’s Grace Event Lawn.

Watch Endurance (pictured) take the stage on ~~Sunday, 18 September~~.This powerhouse group, from the Houston gospel quartet scene, is relatively young by standards of the style, but these Stella-nominated artists are strictly old school. They always have the audience up and moving in no time. NEW DATE: Sunday, Oct 23 from 11.30 am – 2 pm.

The public is invited to bring a blanket and lounge on the grass with family and friends and enjoy a hearty helping of African American gospel music. Three Sundays this fall, Houston’s best performing artists will share the spirit and soothe the soul, sending audiences into the new week with a musical blessing to remember.

Gospel on the Green is produced by the Folklife & Traditional Arts Program of the Houston Arts Alliance in collaboration with Discovery Green. The HAA Folklife & Traditional Arts Program is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Houston Endowment.
