Mark your calendars for the celebration of Fifth Ward Jam, a piece of temporary public art by the Houston artistic team of Dan Havel and Dean Ruck. Help launch this unique pocket park and awesome architectural artwork by joining in the festivities and enjoying the fall weather, fine refreshments and fabulous performances.

Gather your family and friends to hear music and storytelling that reflect the vibrant cultural roots of Fifth Ward. Presentations will feature Texas Zydeco Prince Jabo, legendary Duke Peacock house guitarist Texas Johnny Brown, Stella-nominated gospel quartet Endurance and more.

Fifth Ward Jam is made possible in part by a grant from the Houston Arts Alliance and with support from the Fifth Ward Community Redevelopment Corporation, City of Houston's ReUse Warehouse, TIRZ 18 and the Offices of Council Member Jarvis Johnson. Dedication activities were organized by the HAA Folklife & Traditional Arts Program with support from Wells Fargo, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Houston Endowment.
