CHILDREN'S CD and BOOK SIGNING and RELEASE! Saturday, September 17 at 1pm. A few years ago, we wrote and recorded a song called “Almost September.” That seems like an appropriate title for this letter because it’s almost September and almost time for the highly anticipated release of our new book/CD release for children!!.

Trout Fishing in America is a nationally acclaimed performing and recording group based in northwest Arkansas. While they have a strong following for their sophisticated repertoire of music for grownups, the group has also garnered national awards for its five previous “family” recordings.  The duo has been featured on the Today Show and has performed at the White House. Trout Fishing in America has earned over 20 national awards and honors, including two Grammy nominations and several “Best of the Year” accolades and Gold awards from Parents’ Choice and the National Parenting Publications.

Trout Fishing in America is the long-standing musical partnership of Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet. The name, taken from an early Richard Brautigan novel, seems almost as incongruent and intriguing as a picture of this musical duo - Idlet (guitar) stands six feet nine inches and Grimwood (bass), five feet five and one-half inches. What is more intriguing is the musical career these two have carved out in nearly three decades of writing, recording and performing together. Trout Fishing in America can look back at a body of work that is impressive and know they are just hitting their stride.

Billboard magazine notes their “rare musicianship, humor and inspiration.” Chicago Parent suggests, “If you haven’t heard them yet, it’s time to do some trolling.”
