Celebrate the the beautiful Grito ceremony with the Consulate General of Mexico in Houston at Miller Outdoor Theatre at El Grito, Festival de la Independencia at Miller: Mariachi Sol de Mexico de José Hernandez on Thursday, September 15 at 8pm.

Following the ceremony is a rousing performance by one of the premier mariachi ensembles in the world! Grammy-nominated Sol de Mexico travels the world as Ambassadors of mariachi music, celebrating their rich cultural heritage and spreading their Passion of Mariachi to audiences across the globe.

Dancers from Houston's esteemed Compañia Folklórica Alegría Mexicána de Isidro Salas will join the musicians for several songs.

Presented by Miller Outdoor Theatre in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in Houston.

Tickets:

All performances at Miller Outdoor Theatre are free. However, this event does require tickets for the covered seated area.

Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am-1pm.

If tickets remain at 1pm, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets.

As always, open seating on the hill.
