The Korean American Society of Houston is proud to announce the Third Annual Houston Korean Festival. The 2011 festival takes place Saturday, October 22, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, at Discovery Green 1500 McKinney, Houston, TX 77010. This one-day event, sponsored by North Freeway Hyundai, will bring South Korea’s classic and modern culture and beauty halfway around the globe to the heart of downtown Houston.

This year’s theme is The Sights of Korea, featuring visual aspects of the country from its astonishing natural beauty, tourist sites to traditional costumes. A hanbok fashion show will highlight the elegant beauty of the traditional Korean dress with a contemporary touch.

The festival will also bring together renowned Korean musicians and artists from around the nation with performances throughout the day. Contemporary performers include Clara Chung, a popular YouTube artist who rose to fame when she won Los Angeles’ Kollaboration talent show, and Dumbfoundead, a Los Angeles-based battle rapper. Traditional performances include Tae Kwon Do and Korean dance.
