Love Is In The Air At KVPAC Theatre! The 2011-2012 season at Katy Visual & Performing Arts Center promises love and romance. All of the productions in the new lineup have love and all of its entanglements as the central theme.

Encore Players, KVPAC's community theatre group, will open the season with I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, directed by Erin Eder, a witty musical revue that examines the joys and hazards of dating, relationships, marriage, sex, children, and everything in between. Anyone who has ever been in or out of love will find something to laugh about and relate to in this comedy.

The show, which contains strong language and adult content, will run weekends from September 23 through October 2.

I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is the title that fairly captures the essence of this musical comedy. The dating and mating dance that American singles do provides fodder for this insightful parody. In the revue, directed by Erin Eder, one has to wonder, why the rush? The date, mate, and marry whirlwind is followed by two whiny children, and the weary familiarity of long-term wedded “bliss.” However, it all becomes loads of fun with writer Joe DiPietro’s comedic genius. The musical score by Jimmy Roberts, a graduate of the Manhattan School of music, is excellent as well. The production is a first for Director Erin Eder, although she is by no means new to the theatre scene. The talented cast consists of Lauren Bowler, Lisa Connolly, Cory Kelley, Gregory Magyar, Chris Mason, Bethany Smith, and Brittney Thorne. All have impressive résumés and their talent brings professional-quality theatre within easy access of Katy residents. Review by Kelly Richards Collapse

Highly recommend the trip to Katy for the show. The actors timing, expressions, and delivery turn this ha ha funny play into gut busting laugh out loud enjoyment! I am going back this weekend!
