The Metropolitan Opera Live in HD and Fathom/National CineMedia present Metropolitan Opera Live in HD: Anna Bolena. 

Experience the sixth season of the Metropolitan Opera’s Peabody and Emmy Award-winning series The Met: Live in HD in movie theaters nationwide. The broadcast of Donizetti’s Anna Bolena will be presented live for only one day on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11:55 AM CT in select movie theaters.

Anna Netrebko opens the Met season with her portrayal of the ill-fated queen driven insane by her unfaithful king. She sings one of opera’s greatest mad scenes in this Met premiere production by David McVicar. Ekaterina Gubanova is her rival, Jane Seymour, Ildar Abdrazakov sings Henry VIII, and Marco Armiliato conducts.

An encore presentation of this performance will be exhibited in select movie theatres on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 6:30 PM in all time zones.
