    Robert McClure (pictured) began composing in high school and continued throughout his undergraduate studies at Bowling Green State University while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. He completed a Masters Degree in Composition from the University of Arizona. He is currently pursuing a DMA at Rice University where he serves as the Rice Electronic Music LABS Teaching Assistant. His main composition teachers have been Dan Asia, Shih-Hui Chen, Richard Lavenda, Kurt Stallmann, and Craig Walsh. He has also taken lessons with Donald Crockett and Yehudi Wyner.

    Current projects include a ballet for string quartet and electronics in collaboration with Art.if.Act Dance Project and a commission for percussion ensemble by the Bowling Green State University Percussion Ensemble to be premiered at the Bowling Green New Music Festival in October of 2011.

     Anne Shaw is the author of Undertow, winner of the 2007 Lexi Rudnitsky Poetry Prize. Her work has appeared and is
    forthcoming in numerous journals, including Harvard Review, Hotel Amerika, Crab Orchard Review, Beloit Poetry Journal,
    Black Warrior Review, Barrow Street,
    and New American Writing, Verse, . She has also been featured on Poetry Daily
    and From the Fishouse. A graduate of Yale and George Mason University, Shaw currently lives in Providence, Rhode
    Island. She and her pit bull enjoy scaring small children and eating chicken bones from under picnic tables.

    Scheduled Program:

    Works for fixed media, soprano and computer, chamber ensemble and two speakers and poetry reading by Anne Shaw.
