Washington-on-the-Brazos presents Smithing in Texas, Saturday and Sunday, October 29 & 30, at Barrington Living History Farm, home of Dr. Anson Jones, the last president of the Republic of Texas. Come out and see metal being molded to man’s will.

On the weekend of October 29-30, step back into history at Barrington Living History Farm as members of the Houston Area Blacksmiths Association will demonstrate the age old craft of metalworking. Experience the blaze of the forge fire, the clang of the hammer and anvil. See blazing hot steel formed into beautiful objects to be displayed. Also, for anyone interested in “taking the hammer,” information on how to get started will be available.

Demonstrations will take place on both days from 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
