Celebrate our local art scene each Thursday with Spacetaker and Boheme at Cultured Cocktails! Join us at Boheme from 5-10PM, when a portion of the proceeds benefits a new local non profit arts organization each week!

This week learn more about Gulf Coast Journal. Gulf Coast is the nationally- distributed journal housed within the University of Houston's English Department, home to one of the nation's top ranked creative writing programs. Gulf Coast: A Journal of Literature and Fine Arts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Portion of drink proceeds for this evening will benefit the 2012 Houston Indie Book Festival on the Menil Collection lawn.

The 2012 festival will be on Saturday, April 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. The event is completely free and open to the public and remains the only one of its kind in the Houston and Austin areas, featuring a variety of nationally-distributed literary journals and small-press books alongside local booksellers, book and magazine publishers, small presses, literary organizations, and writers.
