    Foundation for Modern Music presents the FMM 25th Anniversary Concert, Sunday, October 16, 2011, at 3:00pm, at The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, Zilkha Hall.

    Featuring a world premiere by FMM co-founder Arthur Gottschalk and music by our late artistic director Robert Avalon, along with John Cornelius and others, FMM celebrates its 25th Anniversary.

    From its beginning as a recording entity founded by Berry Bowen, FMM has now become Houston’s leading presenter of contemporary music - the Music of Today concerts started by Robert Avalon have featured close to 200 composers and over 300 artists.

    Hosted by St.John Flynn (KUHF), with performers to include Yvonne Kendall (flute), Paul Boyd (piano), Alison Greene (soprano), Raúl Orlando Edwards (baritone), and more.

    Parking:

    The Hobby Center parking garage is located directly behind the complex with easy access from both Rusk and Walker streets. This 7-level, above-ground, 800-car garage offers self-parking ease for patrons and visitors alike. Event parking is an affordable $6 per vehicle. Valet service is provided during performances and in conjunction with Artista operating hours in front of the Hobby Center on Bagby Street, for $15 per vehicle between Rusk and Walker.
