    Skatestock is a FREE skate/music/art/science event for Houston. The event will include seven local bands, two DJ’s, video production (surf and snowboard videos) projected in the large cradle (22’), and Rice University will be conducting Physics/skater...

    The Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark presents Skatestock, at the  Lee & Joe Jamail Skate Park., Saturday, October 22, 12noon-9pm.

    Skatestock is a FREE skate/music/art/science event for Houston. The event will include seven local bands, two DJ’s, video production (surf and snowboard videos) projected in the large cradle (22’), and Rice University will be conducting Physics/skater velocity experiments in the large cradle/bowl.

    This event will also, include local artists displaying their art (The artists are skaters or inspired by the skateboard world.).

    One of our primary goals is to inspire/expose Houston’s young skaters to the world of art/music & science. A portion of art sold will be donated to the Houston Parks Board for remodeling the Skater Alley section of the park.

    There are no corporate profit motives…just trying to keep Houston Cool!

    Featured bands: Tax The Wolf, Anarchitex, Crime Wave, White Crime, Darwin’s Finches, Escatones, Art Institute.
