The 59th Annual Theta Charity Antiques Show will feature more than 50 premier dealers from around the world at Our Tribute to Texas, the 59th Annual Theta Charity Antiques Show. This year’s Show will take place from Thursday, November 17 - Sunday, November 20, 2011, at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Hall E.

Since its inception in 1952, the Theta Charity Antiques Show has brought together world renowned dealers who sell the finest antiques and decorative arts from the 17th through the 20th centuries and has donated over $6 million to the community. Everything an antiques lover could desire and more will be on display. November 17-20 will truly be an antiques weekend to remember.

Known as one of the top antiques shows in the country, it’s no surprise that the 2011 Theta Charity Antiques Show has another stunning line-up planned this year with TWO fabulous guest speakers!!!

Texas Governor’s Mansion Curator, Jane Karotkin – For the first time since the devastating fire in 2008, the Texas Governor’s mansion will release a collection of fine and decorative arts to display at this year’s show. Jane Karotkin, Texas Governor’s Mansion Curator/Administrator of Friends of the Governor’s Mansion, will speak to show guests on Thursday, November 17 at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Hall E in Houston, Texas.
Emmy Award-winning TV Host, best-selling author and entertaining expert extraordinaire Martha Stewart will speak on Saturday, November 19 at 10:30 a.m.

Other exciting happenings during the Theta Charity Antiques Show include the annual Gala Preview Party on Wednesday, November 16 and a seated luncheon on Friday, November 18 featuring “Texas First Families: Reunion and Reminiscence” where Shara Fryer will be the moderator with Texas first families.

Tickets:

General Admission Ticket $11.00 A General Admission ticket is good for all 4 days.

A General Admission ticket provides entry into the Theta Charity Antiques Show which will have more than 50 of the most notable antiques dealers from the United States and Europe. Additionally, General Admission tickets provide access to the New Collectors Booth,and a Tea Room where food and beverages may be purchased.

Parking:

The George R. Brown now offers even more parking space with a new parking garage located at the corner of Polk Street and Avenida de las Americas. Conveniently connected to the GRBCC and the Hilton by Level 2 skywalks, parking couldnâ€™t be easier.

In addition, there are several privately owned surface lots surrounding the convention center. All are just a short walk away or across the street.
