97.9 The Box and Reliant Park present the 29th Annual 97.9 THE BOX Los Magnificos Lowrider Car Show & Concert, Sunday, November 20, 11am-7pm.

The 29th Annual Los Magnificos Car-Bike Show & Concert Presented by 97.9 The Box! This year's theme is OLD SCHOOL “The Heads of State” Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill and special guest H-Town – taking on the NEW SCHOOL Plies, Waka Flocka, Webbie, Kirko Bangz, Baby Bash, Meek Mill, Future, Roscoe Dash, MC Beezy & Rai P.

The largest and longest running car show event in the southern U.S. featuring over 400+ customized cars, bikes and motorcycles highlighted with continuous live performances by the hottest hip-hop and R&B artist, entertainers and celebrities.

In 1982, the Los Magnificos Car Club of Houston, Texas, held their first car show under the club leadership of Joel Carmona and his wife, Helen.  The Los Magnificos car show quickly garnered enough interest to become an annual event in Houston. Over time, the car shows proved incredibly successful, eventually attracting interest from Houston’s KBXX “97.9 The Box” radio station. In an innovative move, a strategic relationship was formed in which Los Magnificos coordinated the car show in conjunction with a concert sponsored by the radio station.

This event became known as the Los Magnificos Custom Car Show and Concert.
