The Museum of Printing History  presents the exhibition Multiple, Limited, Unique: Highlights from Permanent Collection of The Center for Book Arts. On view May 31, 2012– August 25, 2012.

This exhibition marks the culmination of the Center’s Collections Initiative, a two-year process during which the Center completed a detailed study and documentation process of its fine art collections, amassed over its thirty-five year lifespan. In tandem with the collection being catalogued and publicly accessible through an online web portal, the Center takes this opportunity to exhibit key works demonstrating the breadth and caliber of its collection of book and related arts.

This exhibition will serve as the public inauguration of the Center’s newly accessible collections, which will stand as a valuable resource for artists, scholars, writers, educators, and the general public. Works by such artists as Ed Ruscha, Bruce Nauman, Martha Rosler, Barbara Henry, Pablo Helguera, Carlos Motta, Karina Skvirsky, and many other established and emerging artists are counted among the Center’s collections.
