HAA Folklife & Traditional Arts Program and Discovery Green team up to again present Gospel on the Green. The best local ensembles will take to the stage at Discovery Green and make a joyful noise at this exciting new series! Co-sponsored by Choice KTSU 90.9 FM.

Gospel on the Green will end with New Creation on Sunday, December 11. Popular for their ability to sing various styles of music ranging from quartet to contemporary gospel, New Creation promises to get you into the holiday spirit by delivering gospel infused with jazz and rhythm & blues.

The public is invited to bring a blanket and lounge on the grass with family and friends and enjoy a hearty helping of African American gospel music. Houston’s best performing artists will share the spirit and soothe the soul, sending audiences into the new week with a musical blessing to remember.

Gospel on the Green is produced by the Folklife & Traditional Arts Program of the Houston Arts Alliance in collaboration with Discovery Green. The HAA Folklife & Traditional Arts Program is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Houston Endowment.
