The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the Foundation for Modern Music present Navidad Latina: An Afternoon of Latin Carol Carols, Sunday,  December 18, 2:00 PM,  Beck Building, Second Floor.

Unlike holiday celebrations in the United States, which are indoors and somewhat intimate, Latin and Spanish holiday celebrations are filled with high-energy, rhythm-infused, danceable music—a reflection of the rich amalgamation of heritages found in these cultures.

Join the Foundation for Modern Music in collaboration with Flamárt (featuring Latin American Music and Arts) as they make their debut at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, with Navidad Latina. Music from Spain, Latin America, and the Caribbean will be performed by an ensemble of local performers including Houston’s premier flamenco group, Solero Flamenco (singer Irma “La Paloma” and guitarist Jeremías “El Valiente”); internationally renowned percussionist Jorge “Cro-Cro” Orta; baritone Raúl Orlando Edwards; and others.

This program is free with general museum admission. Seating is limited. A reception to meet the performers follows the program.
