    5th Annual Cabaret for a Cure

    Plans are underway for Legacy Community Health Services (Legacy) 5th Annual Cabaret for a Cure, featuring seven-time Grammy Award winner Al Jarreau (pictured).  Chairing Cabaret are: Martha Turner and Glenn Bauguss, Kathryn and Jeff Smith, Anita and Gerald Smith, Tena and Tyson Faust, Trini Mendenhall Sosa and Frank Sosa, Beth Madison and Paul-David Van Atta.

    Plans are underway for Legacy Community Health Services (Legacy) 5th Annual Cabaret for a Cure, featuring seven-time Grammy Award winner Al Jarreau (pictured).  Chairing Cabaret are: Martha Turner and Glenn Bauguss, Kathryn and Jeff Smith, Anita and Gerald Smith, Tena and Tyson Faust, Trini Mendenhall Sosa and Frank Sosa, Beth Madison and Paul-David Van Atta.

    The glamorous evening will be held in the ballroom of the Hilton Americas – Houston Hotel on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 6:30 PM. Legacy is proud to award, Margaret Alkek Williams with the Shannon R. Schrader Humanitarian Award and Julie Eberly with the Visionary Award for all their support throughout Legacy’s 30 year journey.

    The energetic evening will feature a seated dinner, silent auction, and a special performance by Mr. Jarreau. The fifth annual Cabaret for a Cure, an event proven to be magically unique in Houston's calendar of fundraising, will feature the amazing seven-time Grammy-award winninglegend Al Jarreau as he takes the stage tocharm the audience with his sweet and souful voice, performing some of his hits like "We're In This Love Together," "After All" and "My Old Friend" to name a few. Performance stages will feature cabaret singers and musicians from Houston, New York and Los Angeles.

    Legacy Community Health Services is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization and the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Houston. Each year they provide low-cost or no-cost healthcare services to nearly 40,000 Houston area men, women and children.     All funds raised by Cabaret for a Cure will benefit the HIV/AIDS programs at Legacy Community Health Services.
