    Rod Picott

    Anderson Fair presents Rod Picott

From the northern mill towns of New England, Rod Picott moved to Nashville in 1994, where he established himself as one of the better new writers in town. He toured with Alison Krauss and Union Station and has opened for Gillian Welch, Slaid Cleaves, Fred Eaglesmith, and Chris Hillman. Picott's co-write "Broke Down" with Slaid Cleaves was the most played song on Americana radio in 2001 and is featured in the new Michael Douglas movie, "Solitary Man."

Picott has released 5 albums since 2001 to stellar reviews both stateside and overseas.

"One of the true indicators of a gifted musician is making not only a great debut, but getting to album number three or four with something significant to say. His music has been favorably compared to Steve Earle and Fred Eaglesmith. Four albums into his career Picott is ready to join those two as a reference point for the next generation of musicians. " (Jeff Weiss, Miles of Music).
