Reliant Park presents Mexico vs. Venezuela Soccer at Reliant Stadium. Tickets are now on sale to the general public for the international match between Mexico and Venezuela presented by presented by Wrigley’s Extra® Gum, on Wednesday, January 25 (8 p.m. CST) at Reliant Stadium.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch the Mexican National Team as they prepare for the 2012 CONCACAF FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Houston match, the first game of the Mexican tour through the United States, will mark the 11th time El Tri faces Venezuela (8-2-0). The two teams last met in March of 2011 at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium, resulting in a 1-1 drew.

Venezuela’s national team is a growing power in South American soccer. Last summer, the “Vinotinto,” as they are known by their colors, finished in a surprising fourth place in Copa America and are currently tied with powerhouses Uruguay and Argentina at the top of the table in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers.
