Civil War Genealogy
Lynna Kay Shuffield, (pictured) Genealogy Researcher

As the War of Northern Aggression pitted brother against brother, and even father against son, tremendous family history can be uncovered in Civil War genealogy research. This program will focus on information and resources for searching for American Civil War ancestors, including the best web sites and local resources for locating primary source documentation and lineage information related to Civil War research.

Lynna Kay Shuffield, an authority on genealogical research, writes "Our Loose Ends" genealogy column that is published weekly in several Texas newspapers and has authored several books.

Parking is available in our 6-story garage located on Caroline, just south of Hermann Drive. Parking is just $5 for museum patrons and $7 for all others. In addition, some curbside parking is available near the Museum entrance and in Hermann Park.
