Friday, June 22, CWMP and The University of Houston - Moores School of Music present German Masters with the Texas Music Festival Orchestra. Featuring: Lavard Skou-Larsen, (pictured) conductor. Gates open at 7 p.m.

This summer at The Pavilion, more than 100 gifted musicians from around the world are showcased in a free concert with a German flare. In conjunction with the Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival, an intensive four-week study program at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music, the Texas Music Festival Orchestra takes the stage June 22.

Under the direction of Lavard Skou-Larsen, these young artists perform Richard Strauss’s “Death and Transfiguration,” Op. 24, and Brahms’ Symphony No. 3. The finalists and winner of the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Young Artist Competition will be announced.
