Houston Choral Showcase presents the Houston Choral Showcase 2012 Spring Show: Eight Decades of Song, two performances offered on Saturday June 16, at 3pm and 7:30pm. The venue is the Lowe Theater at St. John's School, 2707 Buffalo Speedway, Houston TX 77098 (SE corner of Buffalo Speedway and Westheimer Road) and parking is free.

In celebration of its 80th anniversary, the Houston Choral Showcase 2012 spring repertoire features songs all the way from its first year ("It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing" written in 1932) to recent hip-hop ("Dynamite"), with a taste of many other genres along the way. It's going to be an entertaining journey through popular musical history. Join us!

Houston Choral Showcase is an auditioned adult community choir performing pop, jazz, swing, show tunes, patriotic pieces and holiday songs, with choreographed movement, staging and sparkling costumes. It's like "Glee" for grown-ups -- this is choral singing with attitude!
