Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark is the world’s first convertible waterpark and is the third waterpark in the Schlitterbahn family of Texas parks.  Following the tradition of ride innovation that Schlitterbahn is known for, the new Galveston Island park is the first convertible waterpark with an entire area that can be opened or closed for indoor/outdoor year-round operation.

The Wasserfest area of Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark, voted the World’s Best Indoor Waterpark, transforms to create a summer fun retreat for guests all year long.

The 70,000 square-foot indoor waterpark offers more than a dozen heated attractions including four tube slides, three speed slides, three kids’ activity areas containing a variety of children’s play elements and pint-sized slides, a secluded beach, a hot tub, a man-made surfing wave and the Torrent® tidal wave river.

Premium Cabanas
Schlitterbahn’s premium cabanas create a unique and relaxing experience. Now there are more choices. Guests enjoy a common meeting ground for their party and experience private seating, lounge chairs, catering, tableside service, dedicated lockers and other amenities such as ceiling fans and hammocks in select cabanas.

Newest Attraction
Shipwreck Harbor a new 100,000-gallon wave lagoon! Shipwreck Harbor wave lagoon offers a battery of three-foot waves along with a new beached ship kids’ slide, a whimsical clam shell slide, enormous lifeboat shade structures, additional lounging and more picnic tables.

Family Amenities
Family-friendly amenities include free parking and free inner tubes. Guests are also welcome to bring a family picnic basket, excluding alcohol and glass containers, into the park.
