Society of North Alberta Print Artists (SNAP)
In 1982, a handful of artists established SNAP as an independent, cooperatively run fine art print shop in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Since then, SNAP has grown to become one of Canada’s premier centres for research and innovation in printmaking, as well as providing a unique forum for discussion and examination of critical and theoretical issues related to printmaking and image culture. SNAP is dedicated to the promotion of both traditional and experimental printmaking practices including prints, artists’ books, posters and print-based installation as well as new, experimental and hybrid forms.

    PRINTHOUSTON 2012
PRINTHOUSTON 2012 is a summerlong print festival organized by PrintMatters, a Houston arts organization dedicated to promoting traditional and non-traditional printmaking, encourage print collecting, and further the professional growth of our members.

PRINTHOUSTON 2012 aims to bring together some of the best in contemporary and traditional printmaking today. The event will feature an exciting program of print-inspired exhibitions by emerging and established, local, national and international artists at a host of top art galleries, non-profits art spaces, museums, and artist run spaces within Houston.

A series of lectures, panel discussions, special events, and workshops will explore the long and varied traditions of printmaking, and will spotlight innovative works in lithography, mezzotint, etching, collograph, and woodcut.
