The Houston Symphony, and Miller Outdoor Theatre present Summer Symphony Nights.  For more than 60 years, the Houston Symphony has brought the thrill of live performances to patrons at Miller Outdoor Theatre. Admission is free for these concerts, but tickets are required for the seated area.

Hear the world’s greatest classical music under the stars on June 15, 16, 22, and 23.

UPDATE:
The Houston Symphony’s second ExxonMobil Summer Symphony Nights concert at Miller Outdoor Theatre on June 16 will bring back the popular and successful new concert format, “Tweetcert,” a unique blend of classical music and the social media forum, Twitter.

As guests enjoy the live music, they can use their smartphones to virtually read Conductor Robert Franz's mind as he conducts the Symphony. As the musicians play, audience members are invited to follow @HouSymphony on Twitter while refreshing their Twitter feeds to read the 140-character program notes. Maestro Franz will share tweets that describe the story of Don Juan in R. Strauss' Don Juan. Maestro will also share commentary on Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major, and on Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.

With virtuosic passages played by many instruments of the orchestra, Strauss’ Don Juan tells the story of an idealist man in search for the perfect woman portrayed by musical themes of adventure, heroism and longing. Audience members will also hear the beautiful and exciting melodies in Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 and see pianist Xiayin Wang shine in Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major.
