Stage Door Inc. presents The Red Velvet Cake War, running July 20 through August 12.

Gaynelle Verdeen, one-third of the outrageous Verdeen cousins, needs to prove her sanity to a court-appointed psychologist to avoid prosecution for crashing her minivan into the double-wide of her husband’s girlfriend. And compared to some other Verdeens, she IS the sane one!

At a family reunion on the hottest day of July in the middle of Texas tornado season, the only thing more out-of-control than the weather is the ongoing battle over who makes the BEST Red Velvet Cake!

Stage Door Inc. is a local, community theatre located in the Pasadena Town Square Mall. Jim Tommaney with the Houston Press recently listed Stage Door at #4 on his list of “Unexpected Moments in Theatre 2011.” Their regional premiere of Avenue Q recently received rave reviews from Mr. Tommaney and audience members alike.
