Breaking away from the Southern rap stereotype, Kidd’s influences are derived by a diverse array of genres, citing artists such as Jamie Foxx, James Brown, George Clinton, Bob Dylan, Cappadonna, K-Rino, UGK, Elton John, Ceelo, Ma$e, Andre 3000, Maxwell, Radiohead, Black Rob, Kurt Cobain, D’Angelo, Wu-Tang, Isley Brothers, G Dep, Fiend, Ness, and Johnny Cash as his influences. His upcoming tracks reflect this, and range from brutal street narratives to soulful R&B jams.

With his fierce style, vocal aptitude and lyrical mastery, “Kidd The Great’s” works are sure to be legendary on both a local and national spectrum in upcoming months.

His long-awaited solo album, “That’s How I Be Liking My Mic!” is currently undergoing finishing touches and will be available in September 2012.
