TXU Energy BakerRipley Turkey Trot

Join BakerRipley and TXU Energy for Houston’s Largest Turkey Trot! Over 20,000 of runners and supporters will gather together to fill the Galleria area on Thanksgiving Morning in support of a good cause.  This year, the TXU Energy BakerRipley Turkey Trot is celebrating 25 years of bringing Houstonians together to help serve nearly half-a-million individuals. BakerRipley, formerly Neighborhood Centers, has been around for more than 110 years. The TXU Energy BakerRipley Turkey Trot aims to raise funds to aid the non-profit organization, which continues to serve families with opportunities by linking them to education, job training, tax preparation and business development support.

TXU Energy BakerRipley Turkey Trot has something for everyone- competitive and noncompetitive Phillips 66 5K, 10K, Wheelchair and kids run. The post-race celebration includes free food, music, a kid’s area and other fun family activities. This year’s race is especially very important to BakerRipley because the 110-year-old organization continues to raise funds to help Hurricane Harvey’s victims. After Hurricane Harvey, BakerRipley opened and operated the largest shelter for affected victims at NRG Park. Now, it is BakerRipley who is asking the community for support of its 25^th annual TXU Energy BakerRipley Turkey Trot.

The race will take place on The Plaza on Richmond 5177 Richmond, Houston, TX 77056 on November 23^rd, 2017 from 7:20 am- 9:00 am. The 10k Timed Wheelchair race will begin at 7:20 am, 10K race begins at 7:30 am, 5K Timed Wheelchair Race begins at 7:50 am, 5 K Race begins at 8:00 am, and the Kids Run begins at 9:00 am.
