    In December 1946, a group of dedicated Houstonians combined their talents and resources and established through the Church a unique educational experience. The purpose of founding the school was to provide a place of learning where students would not only grow academically, physically, and socially, but they would grow spiritually as well. February 3, 1947, Second Baptist School opened its doors to 14 kindergarten students.

February 3, 1947, Second Baptist School opened its doors to 14 kindergarten students.

    Today, SBS is a widely recognized Christian collegiate community, serving approximately 1,000 students from PK-12. The school enjoys the use of nearly 1,000,000 square feet of educational and recreational facilities on a 42 acre, Memorial area campus.
