Artist Boat provides guided interpretive tours to places of natural significance on Galveston Island and in Galveston Bay via kayak. Discover the estuary guided by biologists & artists, explore the wonders of Galveston Island and Bay in human powered vessels, discover the art of paddling, and express your creative side!!!

Artist Boat's interpretive staff of certified kayak instructors will lead you to great places via kayak, identify & show native species, teach water coloring techniques, assist you with developing paddling skills, and interpret natural processes. Galveston Island is rich in historical architecture and natural history.

Artist Boat is dedicated to promoting awareness and preservation of coastal margins and the marine environment through the disciplines of the sciences and the arts.

If you are interested in going on one of our public trips, or if you are a teacher and would like your class to learn about the local ecology through adventure, please feel free to contact us!

We also have teacher development programs were you can earn hours.
