    Opera Vista is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation founded to encourage the development of contemporary opera composers and performers. Our mission is to promote opera as a living and vibrant art form in the 21st century. Our programming pushes the envelope of opera, not only to find the edges of an already existing art form, but to challenge and educate younger audiences with the aim of bringing them to the classics through works of their peers. It is our goal to energize young people about opera in order to build audiences not only for the future but also for the classics, and in doing so make Houston the center of contemporary opera.
