Where else can you dance to Swing, Ballroom, Salsa or Country Sounds?

The dim lighting and spacious wood parquet dance floor hearken back to a simpler time. And for good reason.

Open since 1977, this little gem is the one of the oldest true dance clubs in Houston.

UPDATE JUNE 9, 2013:

Yes it's true! We know Melody Club has been a special place to many people for many years and for this reason it is with a heavy heart that we announce Melody Club will be closing. The building was recently sold and the new owners have made other plans.

Trish and I would like to take this moment to thank everyone who has made Melody Club a special place to dance. The building has a wonderful history and as one person recently said to me; "I love this place because....but I'm sure everybody has their own Melody Club story". That line stuck with me as I realized that many people do have their own stories on what made Melody Club special to them. For Trish and me it's all of you that made Melody special for us.

We are currently looking for the next Melody Club location but with this news so sudden it has not been feasible to find a suitable location.

For the rest of this month (June) we will finish our normal schedule except on Fridays & Saturdays, we have several dances planned for the next few weekends.
